Anime North- Dolly-kei Saturday

On Saturday I wore Dolly-kei. I'd almost describe it as OTT dolly, as I tried to use every detail of the style. I love wearing Dolly-kei as it's the style that most fits my personality, and it also lets me wear my natural, crazy hair!

I met the lovely actor who plays The Captain in the fabulous webcomic Romantically Apocalyptic! We both took photos of each other and talked about Art Nouveau, haha.

Later that day I was heading back to the hotel to meet my friends, and had my photo taken by Tenleid!

Once I got back to the hotel, I ended up having a photoshoot with my friends, and Steph took some great photos of me in the bushes (so prickly, haha).

My makeup was extremely simple for the day, as the point is to go for a natural look-

Anime North- Sweet Lolita Friday!

Photobucket

I went to Anime North in Toronto a couple weeks ago, and I wore sweet lolita on the Friday!
I always feel slightly uncomfortable in such bright pinks (I prefer dustier shades) and sweet styling, but I love to try different things, and I wanted to match my friends Stephanie and Iulia, who usually wear OTT sweet.

Photobucket
I think it turned out pretty well, even though I didn't go OTT as I felt I didn't have enough accessories to attempt it properly. Here's what I wore:
OP: Dear Celine
Bunny Bag: Dream of Lolita
Wig: Ebay
Earmuffs: Chinatown
Bows & Tights: Claire's
Shoes: Hush Puppy

Photobucket
I love that the earmuffs I found match so well with the dress!

I first met up with them at the Tim Hortons near the TCC, and I got a photo of me in my (non-matching) glasses, and you can kind of see where I deco'd myself with pink stars.

Steph looked absolutely wonderful in her brand of OTT deco-lolita!

Overall, I'm quite fond of seeing OTT sweet lolita, I just don't know how good I'd be at it myself! I shall continue fav'ing the photos I see on Tumblr, and hopefully one day I'll be able to make a good coord myself.

Thanks for reading~

Hello Dear Reader,

I'd like to welcome you to my blog, Forest Fawn! This is where I will be posting things relating to my personal style and related topics.

I'm a Danish-Canadian Dolly-kei and Natural-kei girl and Classic lolita. I also wear a lot of vintage, and love including it in my everyday style, so a lot of posts will not be purely one style, rather a mix of my own tastes and interests. I'm currently in university for Medieval and Viking studies, and I love mixing the influences of these eras into my style!

I hope that you'll enjoy reading this blog, as I hope to enjoy posting it!
